In late September 2018, the major event of the jewelry industry – Hong Kong Jewellery & Gem Fair at Asia World-Expo (Hong Kong, China) – took place. This show is known to be the most important gem fair for the world market as the main trends for next year’s jewelry fashion are formed and main contracts for the supply of gemstones are sourced here. Moreover, Hong Kong’s status as a duty-free zone stimulates business and free trade flows and makes product prices more competitive.
As a participant in the show, Volyn Gems has presented its collection of gemstones, beryls, topazes and quartzes. Polychrome (bi-color) topaz and polychrome (bi-color) quartz have been of particular interest among the show visitors since there had never been any minerals with such a unique color palette: from wine-tawny to sky-blue and from light brown to chocolate.
The cutters’ work was highly appreciated too. The company Volyn Gems articles included both standard- and fancy-cut stones, however, polychrome (bi-color) topazes are of the most popularity.
